Our Story

Where history, hospitality, and heart meet on the shores of Lake Alfred

From family gatherings in the 1940s to unforgettable “I do’s” today, Adams Estate has always been a place for bringing people together. That’s the beauty of celebrating in a setting with history…your story becomes part of its legacy.

Built in 1942 by Dr. Charles W. Adams, one of Lake Alfred’s founding settlers, and his wife, Emmie Reynolds Adams, the Estate was originally a private lakeside residence connected to the family’s citrus business, the heart of Central Florida’s economy at the time. For decades, the home hosted reunions and private celebrations long before it officially opened as an event venue. Now lovingly restored and carried forward by the family’s third and fourth generations, the Estate remains what it has always been: a place for connection, celebration, and story-making.
